New HIV Policies to Focus on Drug Users

The first policy recommendations to "actively include TB [tuberculosis] and HIV care within the context of support to drug users" were released this Monday by a coalition of UN offices working on AIDS and drug use. Although HIV and TB are particularly prevalent among drug users, drug dependent people are often marginalized from their communities and struggle to access health care.
